It is mainly used for the measurement of pulse high voltage, lightning high voltage, and power frequency high voltage.
1. Working principle of voltage divider
The working principle of the voltage divider is mainly based on the principle of resistor voltage division in a series circuit. When the voltage divider is composed of multiple resistors in series, the total voltage will produce different voltage drops on these resistors. According to Ohm's law and Kirchhoff's voltage law, the voltage drop on each resistor can be calculated. The design of the voltage divider allows the output voltage to be adjusted by changing the resistance value, thereby realizing the voltage division of the input voltage.
In practical applications, the voltage divider usually includes a high-voltage arm and a low-voltage arm, where the high-voltage arm is connected to the power supply and the low-voltage arm is connected to the measurement point. The working principle of the voltage divider is to realize the voltage division by connecting resistors or capacitors in series. For example, the internal resistance of the resistor voltage divider is pure resistance, with a simple structure, easy to use and good stability. The capacitor voltage divider may be composed of multiple high-voltage capacitors stacked together, or only one capacitor, which is used to measure higher voltages.
The selection and use of the voltage divider needs to consider its type (such as resistor voltage divider, capacitor voltage divider, etc.), accuracy requirements, stability, and whether it is compatible with a specific measurement or control circuit. In addition, the design of the voltage divider should also consider its performance and stability under different conditions, such as temperature changes, electromagnetic interference, etc.
2.RDCF-150KV Main features of AC/DC digital voltage divider
• The voltage divider uses high-precision resistors and capacitors, special process potting, dry sealing, and no oil leakage.
• High input impedance reduces the test current and power consumption, making the product small and light, stable performance, and high measurement accuracy.
• The voltage divider, multi-value kV meter and cable are all placed in an aluminum alloy box, which is safe and reliable, making it easy to carry and transport.
• The multi-value kV meter can directly read DC, AC peak, DC peak, true RMS, peak/√2 and other voltage values
3.AC/DC voltage divider instructions
1. Open the aluminum alloy box, take out the voltage divider tube, voltage equalizing ball, digital measuring instrument and cable.
2. Place the voltage divider tube with the base safely and reliably, and install the second voltage divider tube and voltage equalizing ball in turn.
3. Connect the ground wire firmly to the "ground wire" terminal of the voltage divider base.
4. Connect the high-voltage lead to be measured firmly to the voltage equalizing ball at the top of the voltage divider.
5. Insert one end of the cable into the output hole of the voltage divider and the other end into the voltage measuring hole of the measuring instrument. Make sure to plug it in tightly.
6. Select the position of the measuring instrument according to the high voltage to be measured.
7. Load the high voltage and record the data.
8. After reducing the voltage for a period of time, until the measuring instrument displays zero, the main experimental circuit can be removed.
4.Precautions for using AC/DC digital voltage divider
1. When using this equipment, there should be no debris around it to avoid affecting the measurement accuracy.
2. Strictly pay attention to maintaining the operating distance to ensure safe operation.
3. Check that all parts are connected reliably, especially the ground wire is firmly connected.
4. After the measurement is completed, you can enter the site only when the instrument shows zero.
5. It is strictly forbidden to use it at overvoltage, and pay attention to the cleanliness of the surface. It should be placed in a cool and dry place when not in use.
The voltage divider is an instrument for field measurement. It can measure the average value of DC high voltage and the effective value of AC high voltage. The whole device consists of two parts: the voltage divider and the measuring instrument. The voltage divider adopts a balanced equipotential shielding structure, with electronic components inside, and is installed in an insulating cylinder filled with transformer oil, so that the whole device has the characteristics of accurate testing, good linearity, stable performance, reasonable structure, easy to carry, simple operation, and intuitive display. Therefore, it is an ideal instrument for field measurement.
