Description
The insulation oil viscosity tester is used to measure the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products (Newtonian fluids). This method involves measuring the time it takes for a certain volume of liquid to flow through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer under gravity at a constant temperature. The product of the capillary constant of the viscometer and the flow time represents the kinematic viscosity of the tested liquid at that temperature (the product of the kinematic viscosity and the density of the liquid at the same temperature represents the dynamic viscosity of the liquid at that temperature).
